Athletic Therapists also specialize in immediate On-Field Care, they are experts in emergency, on-field assessment and care for acute injuries.

Treatment techniques include, manual therapies (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques), exercise prescription, bracing/taping, and modalities like acupuncture or ultrasound.Target Population: While specializing in active individuals, treatments are for everyone, including seniors recovering from surgery or people with work-related injuries

Meet Matt Miller.

Hi, I’m Matt. I hold a PhD in injury prevention from Concordia University, along with undergraduate and master’s degrees in kinesiology. I am a Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), with a focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance training.

I specialize in helping individuals recover from injury, manage chronic conditions, and improve physical performance through evidence-based care and movement-based rehabilitation. My approach combines hands-on treatment, targeted exercise therapy, and education to help you understand your body, build confidence in movement, and reduce the risk of future injury.

My goal is simple: to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay resilient. Whether you’re returning to sport, training for performance, or just trying to stay active without pain.

When I’m not working with clients or teaching at Brock University, you’ll usually find me in the gym, exploring new restaurants, or enjoying live music.
